Elegant Event DJs chosen for an upcoming Macy’s Sip and Scan Event in Los Angeles
Posted by Jason | Filed under Announcement, iPod Wedding

Thank you, Macy’s and the Knot, for selecting Elegant Event to be the featured DJ at the Westfield Sip and Scan event!
Macy’s Department Stores and The Knot are sponsoring a great event for Brides and Grooms called Macy’s Sip and Scan featuring fun beverages, hors d’oeuvres, music, and fabulous registry experts to help you create your dream registry.
Elegant Event Entertainment has been chosen as the featured Los Angeles DJ and Entertainment company at the Sip and Scan on April 23, 2009 at the Westfield Topanga Mall. If you would like to attend this event you’ll have the opportunity to meet with one of our DJs, dance to the music, and meet numerous vendors in the Macy’s Bridal Registry Department.
These events are well planned and aimed at helping bridal couples with their gift registry and vendor decisions. To RSVP, just call or email Macy’s with the number of people that will be attending, your phone number, and the store location.

iPod Wedding Disaster
Posted by Jason | Filed under iPod Wedding
The Bride and Groom enter the reception with no music playing and no advance announcement to the guests.
The Bride wanted to have her first dance with her groom immediately following the Grand Entrance, but the guests weren’t even aware that she was entering the reception area, and there is no MC.
The First Dance is awkward, the song wasn’t cued up properly, there was dead silence for over a minute as the Bride and Groom stood nervously in the center of the dance floor waiting for someone, anyone, to help.
When the music finally played, it sounded terrible.
Does this sound like a reception that went according to plan? It’s even more painful to watch! Check out this video of an iPod wedding disaster:
As a wedding DJ, I know it doesn’t have to be this way. I have other thoughts about the iPod wedding disaster, but I wanted to link up the video first. I’ll address some of the other problems of an iPod wedding in a future article. If you know of any additional videos that show iPod wedding disasters, please email me – we’re looking for more.
